2
Place the horn onto the control surface in the correct position and gently push the prongs of the control horn into and through the foam.

3
Push the black retaining cap over the control horns' prongs, you will see two positions for the cap to snap tight. One for 3mm foam and one for 6mm. Whilst supporting the whole assembly push the cap until it snaps tight, this can be tricky! Fitting retaining cap to horn
4
Attach the servo to be used onto the model with the servo arm an line with the control horn, so the linkage has a straight run. Positioning servo onto wing
5
Insert the carbon rod into the control horn.  Fitting carbon rod to horn
6
Clip the supplied clevis to the servo. Slide the carbon rod into the clevis, and mark the position of the rod at the control horn end. Ensure that the control surface and servo is in its neutral position before marking where to cut.Marking rod length
7
Cut the rod to length with a fine toothed saw. Although very small avoid the carbon dust as it can be an irritant. Cutting rod to length with fine toothed saw
8
Next "key" the surface of each of the carbon rods with sand paper to produce a good surface for the glue to bond to. This is important to produce a strong reliable linkage.  Sanding end of rod before glueing
9
Apply Medium C.A glue in turn to each end of the carbon rod and push the carbon rod into the horn and clevis. Allow a moment to let the glue cure.Glueing rod to clevis
10The linkage is now complete and should be checked for security before flying the model.Completed linkage on Shock Flyer
